Machining

We can lathe turn up to 40” [1016mm] dia x 40 ft [12Metres] length x 20 tonnes Max weight.

With a range of well equiped machines, we offer a wide range of capabilities from machining of small bar, Rolled Rings Forgings and Castings up to Forged Bar stock of over a metre in diameter or up to 12 metres between centres.

Our Lathe Turning services are offered on own and customer supplied materials and include anything from Plastics through to the whole range of Steels and Alloys including Stainless Steels, Nickel and Copper Alloys.

We can offer Machined to Drawings to include Stepped Turning of Shafts, Forgings or from solid Forged or Rolled bars and Castings, and surface finishes from rough machined through to polished finishes suitable for immersion U/T testing.

Typical customers include stockholders needing to rapidly re size bar stock, Forges and Foundries for first stage machining for  Prior and Post Heat Treatment and re-usable merchants requiring recovery into Bar Stock of Shafts, Forgings and Casting etc.

We also offer Trepanning, Vertical boring, and Milling on site as well as having the capability to manage your project to include Heat treatment and finished CNC Machining through a range of our Accredited Quality Approved sub-contractors.
